Eternity to Love: Chapter 11 Peak

I know it's been sad to see Bella without Edward. Well, I have to say, she's not the only one who's had problems. Let take a quick peek to see how Edward is doing, shall we.

“They’re gone, Edward!” he said, recovering quickly and getting back on his feet to stand in front of me. “You were all sick…dying. I couldn’t save them. But you… I made a promise.” He was pacing a few steps back and forth in the hallway now.
Murky images flashed through my mind; my father coughing up blood, my mother touching a cloth to my head, men in white coats and masks wheeling a bed out of a hospital room. More images floated through my mind of this man talking to me next to my father’s bed, hugging me in a bathroom, moving between me and my mother faster than humanly possible, standing over me as he pushed my own bed out of the hospital room and him easily lifting me over his shoulder and running out a door.
“Dr. Cullen?” I asked, recognizing his face.
“Thank goodness, he remembers.” His voice was so quiet I almost missed it.
“Yes, Edward. My name is Carlisle and I was your doctor. Well…I looked after your whole family before...” He paused.
“You said we were all sick,” I whispered, “and dying?”
“Yes, Edward.”
I was sitting on the bed, not knowing how I got there, with Dr. Cullen sitting next to me.
“I’m sorry. Your parents have passed.”

Memories of Love: Chapter 25 Teaser

Another of my dormant stories is showing signs of life again. Chapter 25 will be seeing the light of day soon. Take a peek and see what's in store.

“Hey guys.” I tried to keep my eyes off of Edward. “Thanks for bringing the food, Emmett.”
Trying to not look at Edward was impossible. My eyes were drawn to him and as I stood up with the bags in my hands, our eyes locked. My heartbeat took off and my pulse raced just at the look in his eyes. I was frozen again, trapped in the same hypnotic gaze he had the day I first met him.
Breathe, Bella. Get a hold of yourself and get the hell out of this room.
I couldn't make myself move… couldn’t tear my eyes away.
Move your ass, Bella. Get away from him before you do something stupid.
Stupid might be a good thing right now, Bella.
I shook my head to get rid of that thought just as I heard that sweet voice.
“Do you need any help?” Edward asked.
I hadn’t let him get close enough to me since that day in the car to even hear his voice. The sound of it made my stomach do flips and definitely didn’t help with the speed of my heartbeat. There was no way I was letting him follow me into the kitchen…alone…where anything could happen.
“I got it. That’s what I’m here for.” My voice was amazingly steady considering I could barely breathe.
I turned my back and walked as fast as I could to the kitchen. From behind me, I heard Jasper’s quiet voice. “Edward, breathe.”
As soon as I turned the corner, I dropped the bags and fell against the refrigerator. The cold metal of the door stung my back and I remembered the ridiculous outfit Alice had dressed me in. I could kill her for making me wear this and parading me around half naked in front of Edward. I just wanted to find someplace to hide and stay there until this whole party was over. There was no way I was going to make it through this day.

Chapter 15 Peek

Finally, finally...the long awaited return of Life in the Balance. Here is a quick look at chapter 15 from Alice's pov:

In five and a half years I had never heard Carlisle sound so serious or angry. He’d walked in here so many times ranting after his fights with Bella and each time I picked up on his frustration, but there was never anger. Now, he was downright livid.
“Explain exactly what happened last night and tell me how on earth you managed to not only give everything away but also let her get her hands on you.  Something like that shouldn’t happen.”
“That’s not fair, Carlisle,” I interrupted. “You can’t blame…”
“No Alice, he’s right. I messed up…bad.” Paul’s hand was on my arm to keep me from speaking. “Like I told Jasper last night, Bella and I were having a relaxed conversation. She was explaining your meeting to me. She told me about your fight,” he said, addressing Carlisle. “How could you let your anger get the better of you…you really scared her.”
Paul and Carlisle locked eyes when he told him how he made Bella feel and I felt bad for both of them in that moment. They were each trying to hold so much emotion back, but in that instant, it was written all over their faces.

Eternity to Love: Chapter 9 Teaser

Here's a quick peek for you to what's coming in the next chapter.

The rise and fall of the sun marked the passing of time, but I was numb to all of it. No, not numb…dead. I felt dead inside and I had no desire to move, to speak or to eat. I saw every concerned look and heard every pained word that came from my parents and Mrs. Jones as they tried to ask if I was all right, but the will to answer was not there.
As the sun rose to mark the beginning of a new day, I heard my parents talking somewhere behind me. I didn’t care enough to acknowledge them but I listened to their conversation. My father’s gruff voice was the first one I heard.
“Everything is ready. I need the two of you to dress her so we may leave. I cannot take this anymore. We need to get her to a hospital. She needs treatment soon or I fear the worst may come of this.” His voice was laced with concern.

New Story Alert

Come join my friends, divineinpiration and shelikesthesound, as they share their latest story with us.

When The Dust Settles

The war in Afghanistan takes away everything that matters to Army Sergeant Edward Cullen. Alone and broken, he has to find a new path in life, but he doesn’t know where to start looking. Unexpected encounters form bonds that last and instead of dodging bullets in the desert, he fights to keep his sanity and heart. A romantic tale full of humor and canon twists.

I have had the priviliage to pre-read this little story and it is absolutely amazing. You will definitely not be sorry for reading this little gem. Just be careful to refrain from eating or drinking anything while reading or the laughter could make from some messy situations.

New Fic Rec

Hello again. I just wanted to stop in and give a little fic some love. Now everyone knows I'm a sucker for non-canon fics and this one is as about as non-canon as you can get.

Holding Sam by MeraNaamJoker is a great story set just after Edward leaves Bella in New Moon. She's hurting and ready to give up everything to not feel the pain anymore. While wandering through the woods, Bella is found by an upset and broken Sam Uley. When these two broken spirits come together, will they be able to heal each other before it's too late.

Check it out: Holding Sam

MeraNaamJoker has an amazing way with words and her fics are some of the best I've read. So, if you're a non-canon h00r like me, or even if you're not, you definitely don't want to miss this one. I know it's gonna be great.

Until next time...much love to you - D

Hello everyone. It's been a busy day but I promised you a taste of chapter 6. Here you go:

I stood at the foot of the stairs with Mr. Swan, waiting for my angel to show herself, but when she stepped into view, I lost all ability to breathe. My eyes widened as I took in the beauty before me in her new blue silk dress.  My mother told me the dress was for the party, but I had no idea that it was a dress for Bella. It fit her perfectly and she looked more glorious tonight than she ever had.

I was supposed to take a step forward, but my frozen muscles wouldn’t move. Bella descended two stairs when my father nudged me from behind, clearing his throat to get my attention.  My smile was immediate as the trance she held me in was lifted, and I stepped forward, waiting for her to make her way down to me.

Her pace was torturous as she inched closer to me. When she finally reached the bottom step, my frantic heartbeat drowned out every other sound in the room. The spell she cast overtook me again and my body was still as a statue. Her giggle brought me back to my senses and I shook my head to clear my mind.

I took another step forward, reaching my hand out to escort my angel.  I wanted to speak but words failed me in her presence.

Hello

I just want to say hello to everyone. I never thought I would have a blog but I figured, what the hell. It's the best place for me to put out teasers for all of the fics I'm currently working on. Just so you know, I am in no way, shape or form good with computers, so you'll have to bear with me as I figure this site out. Thanks for hangin with me.
