Memories of Love: Chapter 25 Teaser

Another of my dormant stories is showing signs of life again. Chapter 25 will be seeing the light of day soon. Take a peek and see what's in store.

“Hey guys.” I tried to keep my eyes off of Edward. “Thanks for bringing the food, Emmett.”
Trying to not look at Edward was impossible. My eyes were drawn to him and as I stood up with the bags in my hands, our eyes locked. My heartbeat took off and my pulse raced just at the look in his eyes. I was frozen again, trapped in the same hypnotic gaze he had the day I first met him.
Breathe, Bella. Get a hold of yourself and get the hell out of this room.
I couldn't make myself move… couldn’t tear my eyes away.
Move your ass, Bella. Get away from him before you do something stupid.
Stupid might be a good thing right now, Bella.
I shook my head to get rid of that thought just as I heard that sweet voice.
“Do you need any help?” Edward asked.
I hadn’t let him get close enough to me since that day in the car to even hear his voice. The sound of it made my stomach do flips and definitely didn’t help with the speed of my heartbeat. There was no way I was letting him follow me into the kitchen…alone…where anything could happen.
“I got it. That’s what I’m here for.” My voice was amazingly steady considering I could barely breathe.
I turned my back and walked as fast as I could to the kitchen. From behind me, I heard Jasper’s quiet voice. “Edward, breathe.”
As soon as I turned the corner, I dropped the bags and fell against the refrigerator. The cold metal of the door stung my back and I remembered the ridiculous outfit Alice had dressed me in. I could kill her for making me wear this and parading me around half naked in front of Edward. I just wanted to find someplace to hide and stay there until this whole party was over. There was no way I was going to make it through this day.

Chapter 15 Peek

Finally, finally...the long awaited return of Life in the Balance. Here is a quick look at chapter 15 from Alice's pov:

In five and a half years I had never heard Carlisle sound so serious or angry. He’d walked in here so many times ranting after his fights with Bella and each time I picked up on his frustration, but there was never anger. Now, he was downright livid.
“Explain exactly what happened last night and tell me how on earth you managed to not only give everything away but also let her get her hands on you.  Something like that shouldn’t happen.”
“That’s not fair, Carlisle,” I interrupted. “You can’t blame…”
“No Alice, he’s right. I messed up…bad.” Paul’s hand was on my arm to keep me from speaking. “Like I told Jasper last night, Bella and I were having a relaxed conversation. She was explaining your meeting to me. She told me about your fight,” he said, addressing Carlisle. “How could you let your anger get the better of you…you really scared her.”
Paul and Carlisle locked eyes when he told him how he made Bella feel and I felt bad for both of them in that moment. They were each trying to hold so much emotion back, but in that instant, it was written all over their faces.

Eternity to Love: Chapter 9 Teaser

Here's a quick peek for you to what's coming in the next chapter.

The rise and fall of the sun marked the passing of time, but I was numb to all of it. No, not numb…dead. I felt dead inside and I had no desire to move, to speak or to eat. I saw every concerned look and heard every pained word that came from my parents and Mrs. Jones as they tried to ask if I was all right, but the will to answer was not there.
As the sun rose to mark the beginning of a new day, I heard my parents talking somewhere behind me. I didn’t care enough to acknowledge them but I listened to their conversation. My father’s gruff voice was the first one I heard.
“Everything is ready. I need the two of you to dress her so we may leave. I cannot take this anymore. We need to get her to a hospital. She needs treatment soon or I fear the worst may come of this.” His voice was laced with concern.

When The Dust Settles

The war in Afghanistan takes away everything that matters to Army Sergeant Edward Cullen. Alone and broken, he has to find a new path in life, but he doesn’t know where to start looking. Unexpected encounters form bonds that last and instead of dodging bullets in the desert, he fights to keep his sanity and heart. A romantic tale full of humor and canon twists.

I have had the priviliage to pre-read this little story and it is absolutely amazing. You will definitely not be sorry for reading this little gem. Just be careful to refrain from eating or drinking anything while reading or the laughter could make from some messy situations.
